Abstract : A mixture of 5-(12-cis-heptadecenyl)- and 5-pentadecyl-resorcinol was isolated from the peel of unripe mango fruit; it acts as a preformed agent against Alternaria alternata, the mango black spot pathogen in Israel, accounting for the latency in disease development.
