Abstract : Potassium metabisulphite (600 p.p.m.), ascorbic acid (1100 p.p.m.), naphthalene acid (NAA at 200 p.p.m.) and Bavistin [carbendazim] (2000 p.p.m.) sprayed on 15-yr-old Dashehari and S.B. Chausa mangoes effectively controlled malformation but to differing extents. Bavistin proved most effective, with 95 and 91.3% disease reduction respectively and ascorbic acid the least (77.7 and 65.1%).
