Abstract : After the inoculation of branches, at leaf insertion points, of 9 varieties with C. fimbriata mycelium, the infection spread rapidly in four varieties, eventually killing the branch, but its spread was slower in Sensation, Irwin and Keitt, while in Kent the symptoms were confined to the immediate vicinity of the point of inoculation. In Tommy Atkins, some plants were susceptible, while others seemed to be resistant.
