Standardization of leaf sample size for nutrient analysis in mango.

Abstract : In studies with the cv. Dashehari, newly emerging leaves from the March and June flushes were tagged and sampled in September and December, respectively, for N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mn and Fe. The sample size ranged from 10 to 50 leaves. The optimum sample size was 30-40 leaves. Leaves from the June flush contained higher amounts of all nutrients, except N, than leaves from the March flush.
