Simple and rapid method for estimation of total carotenoid pigments in mango.

Abstract : Light-petroleum/acetone pigment extracts were diluted, their extinction read at 450 nm, and the results expressed as beta -carotene. Values obtained for 5 cvs were 2.6-4.2% higher than those obtained by other expressed recommended methods.
