Abstract : In a trial with mature mango trees infested with Aulacaspis tubercularis, applications of fenvalerate or monocrotophos resulted in marked increases in the pest population and eliminated their natural enemies. These insecticides are therefore not recommended for the control of mango scale. A spray of mineral oil in the following July, however, gave good results.
