Abstract : Of benomyl, propiconazole, captafol, captan, chlorothalonil and mancozeb, tested against C. gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata], captafol was the most fungitoxic, inhibiting mycelial growth and sporulation at ED 50 1 µg/ml and 1.24 µg/ml respectively and suppressing germination, germ tube growth and appressoria formation at ED 50 0.01 µg/ml.
