A note on frost tolerance in different cultivars of mango (Mangifera indica L.).

Abstract : Percentage leaf damage by frost under natural conditions varied widely among 50 sucking types (designated GN1 to GN50) and 9 named cultivars. Fifteen GN lines and cv. Samar Bahishat Rampur had 0-10% damage. Cultivars also differed in the maximum age of wood damaged; this ranged from 6 months to 2 years and was negatively associated with vigour and resistance to leaf damage.
