Abstract : Varieties classed highly for flavour and aroma and having a high soluble solids content were less attacked than other varieties. Froilan, Rosa, Pig693, Mariquiteño, Kola Alphonse, Lorito and Spring Field were regarded as promising for a future breeding programme.
