Abstract : In field trials with trees of the cv. Dashehri planted in 1968, N at 0-300 g, P2O5 at 0-200 g and K2O at 0-200 g/year of tree age were applied in 2 equal doses (Feb. and Sep.). The incidence of vegetative malformation (bunchy top) and anthracnose [Glomerella cingulata] increased with rising N rates but it was reduced by high P and K rates. The lowest incidence of floral malformation (45.8% compared with 80% in the unfertilized control) was observed with the medium N rate (200 g). The incidence of powdery mildew [Oidium mangiferae] decreased with rising NPK rates.
