Abstract : In long-term trials, NPK was applied to young trees in differing rates and combinations. Tree growth was not significantly affected by differences in fertilizer treatment, and the lowest N rate (100 g N/tree per year of tree age) was sufficient for good tree growth and cropping. P had no appreciable effect but K was highly beneficial with regard to yield.
