Abstract : Five grafted 2-year-old trees of the cv. Langra which had not flowered earlier, were stressed by keeping the pots in a watertank. The water level was below the graft union. Flowering was obtained in 2 plants after 55 days of stress. There was no flower induction in the control plants. The observations indicated that stress conditions can be used for inducing flowering in mango.
