Abstract : Deblossoming of the early (December) emerging panicles in the cv. Dashehari was evaluated in relation to productivity and physico-chemical composition of the fruits. Deblossoming in late Dec. significantly increased the number of fruits per shoot (from 0.2 in the control to 0.5). Although the average weight and volume of the fruits was reduced by deblossoming, it increased the overall yield. TSS and titratable acidity were unaltered.
