Abstract : Total N contents in young twigs taken before flowering (first week of Jan.), during flowering (last week of Mar.) and after harvest (first week of July) were higher in an on year (1977) than in an off year (1978) in cultivars Desi, Dasheri and Bombay. However, in cv. Chausa N content in twigs taken after harvest was higher in the off year.
