Abstract : Lymantria marginata, a pest of mango in Uttar Pradesh, India, was reared on mango leaves in the laboratory at 27.9-31.8°C. Eggs hatched in 9-10 days. Females developed through 7 larval instars over an average of 41.5 days, while males had 6 larval instars lasting an average 28.0 days. The pupal period averaged 8.1 days.
