Abstract : Insects collected from mango in Pakistan in the spring of 1984 included the cicadellids Idiocerus atkinsoni [Amritodus atkinsoni], I. clypealis [Idioscopus clypealis] and Idiocerus niveosparsus [Idioscopus niveosparsus], and the noctuid Chlumetia transversa, which are pests of the young growth of mango. Pollinating species included several bees and Diptera, among which Syrphidae and Tachinidae may also be predators and parasitoids, respectively, of the pest species. Ants occurred both as pollinators and associated with the cicadellids.
