Abstract : Larvae of Chalcolepidius silbermanni, a predator of cerambycids, were collected from dead mango branches in the field in Puerto Rico in March 1986. The main features of spermatogenesis in adult males were studied and the diploid chromosome number was found to be 2n = 12.
