Abstract : Activity of polgalacturonase, polymethylgalacturonase, polygalacturonase transeliminase and polymethyl galacturonase transeliminase was greater for both pathogens in vitro than in mango fruits; the reverse was true for pectin methyl esterase. Enzyme activity reached a max. after incubation for 8-12 d at 25°C and was generally higher for B. theobromae than for M. mangiferae.
