Abstract : The bacterium causing canker of mango was associated with mouth parts and legs of Myllocerus discolor var. variegatus [M. discolor] and Orthaga euadrusalis and with legs of Cantheconidea furcellata, all of which were able to transmit it to healthy mango plants after contact with a culture or after feeding on diseased leaves. The pathogen did not survive in the bodies of these insects.
