Abstract : Kernels of bitter almond (Prunus communis)[P. dulcis], plum (Prunus domestica) varieties Beauty and Clymax, and mango (Mangifera indica) varieties Taimur and Alphonse, respectively, contained lipids 55.6, 36.9, 41.1, 9.7 and 10.8, protein 18.9, 36.4, 30.3, 5.1 and 6.2, crude fibre 2.0, 2.2, 2.2, 1.9 and 2.1, ash 2.3, 3.5, 2.2, 2.2 and 2.3, total soluble sugars 7.9, 7.3, 7.6, 6.2 and 6.0, hydrocyanic acid 0.266, 0.275, 0.280, 0.050 and 0.040 and nitrogen-free extract (calculated by difference) 13.0, 13.4, 16.3, 74.8 and 72.6% DM.
