Abstract : Ten clones of the mango variety Banarsi Langra selected from 3 orchards near Varanasi were studied over 4 years for 8 fruit characters. Clone 2 from Pilkhini and clone 1 from Motijhil performed best for resistance to fruit drop, yield, lack of fruit malformation, skin colour (bottle green) and overall fruit quality. They are recommended for multiplication and commercial plantation.
