Abstract : Data are tabulated on bark percentage, growth characteristics and yield for 10 polyembryonic and 14 monoembryonic rootstocks (grafted) in 1980 and 1981. Bark percentages, determined from cross-sections of stem, root and petiole, were negatively correlated with height, girth and tree volume. Taimuria, Olour, Rumani, Nakkare and Kurukkan were dwarfing rootstocks, while Dashehari, Chausa, ST9, Moovandan and Sakarchina showed vigorous growth.
