Abstract : Leaves of 14-year-old trees of 7 cultivars growing at Hissar were analysed for mineral content. Results are tabulated. All were low in N, Mg and Zn and high in K and Ca. The 2 strains of Bombay Green (Bombay Green and Malda) showed considerable differences in most of the minerals studied. Dashehari was highest in N (1.35%), Ca (3.85%) and, with Bombay Green, Zn (11.42 p.p.m.) contents. Bombay Green was highest in P content (0.124%), while Malda was highest in Fe and Mn contents. Chausa was highest in K content (0.925%) and Fazli in Mg content.
