Abstract : Research activities are reported under the following sections; fruit crops, including breeding of mangoes, guavas, pawpaws, citrus, grapevines and other crops; vegetable crops, including breeding of tomatoes, capsicums, aubergines, okra and numerous other crops; ornamental crops (breeding and selection); medicinal and aromatic crops, mostly breeding and genetic improvement; post harvest technology for mangoes, bananas, grapes, tomatoes and onions; plant pathology (mainly of vegetables, tropical fruits, and ornamental, medicinal and aromatic crops); entomology and nematology; plant physiology and biochemistry; soil science; plant genetic resources; economics and statistics; and agricultural engineering.
