Abstract : In studies with the cv. Neelum, scions 5, 6 or 8 cm in length were treated with IAA or GA, each at 100 or 250 p.p.m., and were grafted on rootstocks of different heights (2-4, 4-6, 6-8 or 8-10 cm). The grafts were then covered with transparent or black polyethylene bags or were left uncovered (control). The highest sprouting and survival were obtained with 8-cm-long scions treated with IAA at 100 p.p.m., grafted on 6- to 8-cm-high rootstocks and covered with transparent bags.
