Abstract : A systematic survey was carried out in 1983-86 in Karnataka, India, on the pest problems of ber [Ziziphus sp.], grapes, guava and mangoes. The pseudococcids Planococcus lilacinus, P. pacificus and Perissopneumon ferox, Thrips palmi and the scolytid Hypothenemus areccae are considered to be a potential threat to these crops.
