New record of Deporaus marginatus (Pascal) as a pest of Litchi chinensis Sonn.

Abstract : The attelabid Deporaus marginatus is recorded as a pest of Litchi chinensis in Uttar Pradesh, India. The insects attack new flushes of leaves on L. chinensis and mango plants at the end of June. The area of affected leaves damaged at the end of July 1986 varied from 30 to 80% in mango and 30 to 70% in L. chinensis. Damage to mangoes was more severe than to L. chinensis.
