Residues of fenthion and quinalphos on mango fruits.

Abstract : The residues of fenthion and quinalphos (both at 0.05%) on mango fruits were determined 1 h and 3, 7, 10 and 15 days after application in the field in Karnataka, India. Fenthion degraded more rapidly than quinalphos. Neither compound could be detected on the fruits 15 days after application. On the basis of maximum residue limits set by FAO/WHO, waiting periods of 7 and 12 days are suggested for fenthion and quinalphos, respectively.
