Bioefficacy of some contact and systemic insecticides in the control of mango thrips, Rhipiphorothrips cruentatus.

Abstract : The efficacy of endosulfan (0.01% Thiodan), triazophos (0.01% Hostathion), dimethoate (0.05% Cygon) and deltamethrin (0.07% Decis) against Rhipiphorothrips cruentatus on mangoes was studied in the field in Pakistan during 1985. Dimethoate and deltamethrin were the most effective, resulting in 98.10 and 98.53% mortality, resp., while mortality following treatment with endosulfan and triazophos was 94.58 and 94.00%, resp. This paper was presented at the Seventh Pakistan Congress of Zoology, held in Quetta, Pakistan, on 25-27 April 1987.
