Abstract : The development of the tropical and subtropical fruit industries in Queensland is discussed. Production figures for 1986 are tabulated for avocados, carambolas [Averrhoa carambola], custard apples [Annona], guavas, limes, lychees, mangoes, kiwifruits, macadamias, persimmons, bananas, pawpaws and pineapples, and the main production centres for these crops are indicated on a map of the state.
