Abstract : Gyranusoidea tebygi sp. nov., an encyrtid parasitoid of Rastrococcus on mango in India, is described and compared with related species. The parasitoid is to be introduced into West Africa in an attempt to control the mealybug, which is a serious pest of mango and citrus in some West African countries.
