Abstract : Recommended cultivation practices, sowing date, cultivar choice, fertilizer application, irrigation levels, pest and disease control and harvest date are given for a range of agricultural and horticultural crops based on results of field trials in the Gorutuba irrigation project, N. Minas Gerais. The crops include cotton, groundnuts, rice, Phaseolus vulgaris, maize, sorghum, pumpkins, squashes, garlic, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, bananas, lemons, papaya and mangoes.
