Abstract : The functional response of Eocanthecona furcellata [Cantheconidea furcellata], with Latoia lepida [Parasa lepida] as prey, was determined using insects collected from mango and Cassia trees in the field in Tamil Nadu, India. Holling's 'disc' equation was used to describe the response. The rate of discovery and handling time decreased and increased, respectively, with increase in predator age.
