Abstract : The main issues discussed are: (1) changes between 1975-85 in area and yield of horticultural crops; (2) contribution of horticultural crops to agricultural output, national and farm incomes, and nutrition; (3) production constraints; (4) export trends; and (5) price fluctuations. Crops studied include: bananas, avocados, mangoes, potatoes, and tomatoes.
