Induction of mango flowering in Western Samoa: a preliminary study.

Abstract : Three types of shoots on trees of several cultivars were sprayed with the flower inducer Agriblum [unspecified] in Nov. 1988 to induce out-of-season fruiting. All mature shoots in all cultivars treated with Agriblum flowered profusely but young shoots failed to respond. Good fruit set was obtained on shoots which were protected from anthracnose [unspecified] with fungicides.
