Studies on morphology and viability of pollen grains of mango.

Abstract : The morphology and fertility of the pollen of 101 mango cvs were studied. Viability was low at the beginning of the flowering period but increased at the end. At the optimum time, viability varied from 70% to >90%. The best medium for pollen germination was 25% sucrose.
