Abstract : Research on vegetables is reported as follows: Chillies: Selection, hybridization and mutation breeding; varietal, fertilizer, establishment and weed control trials; seed viability studies; and virus investigations. Onions: Weed control, variety and fertilizer trials; age of transplants experiment; and prevention of tip drying. Varietal trials are also reported on beetroots, carrots, radishes, cauliflowers, cabbages, eggplants, snake gourds and tomatoes.ADDITIONAL ABSTRACT:Research reported includes: Passion fruit: Clonal evaluations and grafting experiments.
