Abstract : A field trial was carried out in southern Gujarat, India, in 1984 to determine the effectiveness of granular aldicarb (at 50, 100 and 150 g/tree) as a soil insecticide and BPMC [fenobucarb] (at 0.05%) as a foliar spray against Aspidiotus destructor and Ceroplastes actiniformis on mango. Aldicarb at 100 or 150 g/tree and fenobucarb were effective against the pests 15 days after application, and their residues were below detectable levels in mango fruit 30 days after application.
