Abstract : Recent studies in Guam have shown that the primary cause of shot-hole damage on young mango leaves is feeding by larvae of the cecidomyiid fly Procontarinia sp. Once damaged, the leaf tissue is quickly colonized by the anthracnose fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata].
