Abstract : In this paper, presented at the seminar on Postharvest handling of tropical and subtropical fruit crops, held in Taichung, Taiwan in Nov. 1987, the common postharvest diseases of citrus, bananas, pineapples, pawpaws and mangoes in Taiwan are described. The causal organisms or predisposing environmental factors which give rise to the diseases are discussed with notes on their control.
