Abstract : Field trials were carried out in Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1982-83 to determine the effectiveness of various insecticides against Idioscopus clypealis on mango. On the basis of the overall results of the 2 trials, monocrotophos at 0.04% (Nuvacron, Monocil), Ripcord [cypermethrin] at 0.02%, Voltan [of unstated composition] at 0.05% and permethrin at 0.05% are recommended for control of the pest.
