Abstract : Studies were carried out on the incidence of the gall-forming Apsylla cistellata on different cultivars of mango in Bihar, India, in 1986-87. Of 40 cultivars observed, only 17 showed low to moderate infestation during 1986 and 7 during 1987. No infestation of Baramasia, Latra, Dalma or Amrapali was recorded in either year; these cultivars did not produce any flush in March and thus escaped infestation.
