Abstract : When the soil in a mango orchard in Uttar Pradesh, India, was raked periodically with various combinations of timing of irrigation, raking 4 times (May, June, August and October) afforded the best control of egg hatching of the margarodid Drosicha mangiferae; 30% of the eggs hatched, as compared with 68% for no treatment.
