Abstract : Field tests were carried out in India on the chemical control of Aceria mangiferae Sayed, which is a vector of the fungus causing malformation disease of mango [cf. RAE/A 60, 4000, etc.]. Foliar sprays of 0.4% dicrotophos applied in summer were the most effective, giving 100% kill after three days. However, as the compound is not commercially available in India, sprays of 0.1% dimethoate or 0.2% formothion are recommended. Winter applications did not prove very effective.
