Abstract : Scions, 6-, 8- or 10-cm-long, of 6 cultivars were stone-grafted onto an unnamed rootstock and the success of grafting was assessed by recording the number of scions which showed signs of growth and survival. The cultivars Priur and Banganappally gave the highest percentage of scions which continued to grow (84% in both cases). Using 8-cm-long scions gave the best results. The lowest survival (12-22%) was observed in the cultivar Mulgoa.
