Performance of some mango varieties produced in Chittagong.

Abstract : Ten small-fruited cultivars were assessed for whole fruit weight, percentages of pulp, skin and stone, sugar %, and organoleptic properties. The data are tabulated. The cultivar Kalia produced the largest fruits (214.8 g) with high sugar content (20.3%) and was comparable to Rani Pasand with respect to organoleptic quality. Other cultivars were also highly acceptable except Sultan Pasand and Narkeli.
