Effect of deblossoming on mango (Mangifera indica) malformation and fruit quality.

Abstract : In 2-year studies carried out with 7-year-old trees of the cultivar Dashehari, flowers were removed at bud burst, with or without the application of 200 p.p.m. NAA on 15 Oct. Inflorescence malformation in the control, with NAA application alone, flower removal alone and with both NAA application and flower removal amounted to 17.1, 16.5, 2.5 and 2.3%, respectively; the yield/tree was 10.78, 12.48, 14.0 and 13.52 kg, respectively, with average fruit weight being 165, 143, 107 and 102 g, respectively.
