Abstract : Field studies in southern Gujarat, India, in 1978-79 showed that the sex ratio of the mango pest Amritodus atkinsoni was female-biased throughout the year. Males were most commonly found in the lower part of the tree and females in the upper part. The incidence of the ectoparasite Epipyrops fuliginosa [Fulgoraecia fuliginosa] was correlated with the increase in humidity during June-August. A significant increase in both fresh and dry weight of males and females with sexual maturity was observed.
