Abstract : During a study in mango orchards in south Gujarat in 1978-79, females dominated the population of Amritodus atkinsoni throughout the year. Males and females resided in preference in the lower and upper parts of the mango trees, resp. An increase in weight was noticed at the time of sexual maturity. The incidence of the ectoparasite Epipyrops fuliginosa [Fulgoraecia fuliginosa] on the abdomen of the pest was related to the increased humidity in June, July and August.
