Abstract : Field studies were carried out in mango plantations in Dharwad, India, to determine the effect of injecting dimethoate 30 EC and phosphamidon 100 EC into stems at 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 ml a.i./cm girth of the tree to control Amritodus atkinsoni, Idioscopus niveosparsus and I. clypealis. The insecticides were injected once during the 4th week of August. Dimethoate at 0.5 ml a.i. gave 100% control for 3 weeks, and in general, all treatments gave at least 90% control for up to 8 weeks.
